Unlock the Arts for Everyone: Support SCAC

Blue box with white text Give Big 2024

In a world brimming with diverse expressions and creative wonders, everyone deserves the chance to experience the transformative power of the arts. Yet, for many in our community, barriers limit access to these enriching experiences. It's not just about accessing a building or an experience; it's about unlocking a realm of imagination, creativity, and connection that the arts provide.

Why Support Us?

  • Community and Connection: Help us build a vibrant, diverse arts community that reflects and celebrates the richness of human experience.

  • Leave a Lasting Impact: Your contribution is an investment in a future where the arts are a shared treasure, accessible to everyone.

Together, We Can Open Doors to Creativity for Everyone

Your support not only breaks down physical barriers but also opens minds, fosters empathy, and nurtures a community where everyone can share in the beauty of the arts. Let's create a legacy of accessibility and inclusion in the arts that will resonate for generations to come.

As we age or become injured, each one of us will eventually need accessible accommodations.

The Seattle Cultural Accessibility Consortium is Seattle's only concentrated accessibility effort to address the needs of this growing population.

Our work supports and enriches existing local arts & culture organizations. SCAC guides arts and culture administrators in their journey to integrate accessibility within the structure of their organizations.

"Our region needs a centralized entity to provide information and resources for cultural organizations working to increase accessibility. Without the proper education, training, equipment, and overall awareness, we’re falling short on our promise to be fully accessible to everyone. It will be a great accomplishment when all of our arts and cultural institutions are providing consistent, dependable, quality and accessible services for everyone in our community."

- Becky Witmer, former Managing Director of ACT Theatre
