Shout out to the phenomenal artists of the PNB Costume Shop!
Our hardworking colleagues in the Costume Shop created 63 new unitards for Carmina Burana. One for every dancer! Dyed by Wyly Astley, painted by Shelby Adele Rogers, color matched and fit by Pauline Smith. Bravo!

LGBTQ Commission
LGBTQ Commission
PNB Development Staff member Jackson Cooper (he/him) has been appointed by Seattle City Council to Seattle’s LGBTQ Commission. The Commission advises the Mayor, City Council and City departments about issues of concern affecting the LGBTQ community. The Commission recommends policies and legislation, brings together LGBTQ communities with the larger Seattle community through long-range projects, and ensures City departments fairly and equitably address issues affecting and involving Seattle's LGBTQ communities as individuals and as a protected class afforded accessibility and inclusion to the services of the City of Seattle.

All meetings are public and held every third Thursday via WebEx. Visit the Commission’s website for more information: https://www.seattle.gov/lgbtq

•  Offering to help with specific committee needs (ie. language translation, event planning).
•  Supporting specific events (ie. extra hands on deck for Community Engagement events).
•  Participating in the IDEA Committee’s monthly media club activities (ie. book club readings and discussions).
•  Volunteering as a facilitator for IDEA Committee’s trainings of PNB staff.
•  Submitting stories, events, and resources that could be shared in the monthly IDEA newsletters
